Wine People Try 4 Swaps When They Cut Back. Here They Are, Ranked for Dinner.

NA beer at the cookout. A mocktail you muddled yourself. Sparkling water with lime. All good drinks. Only one of them sits next to a steak the way your old glass did.

How we ranked

One job: a weeknight dinner, if wine used to be your drink. We looked at three things, all from labels and USDA data. No scores.

  1. 1Does it belong next to a plate of food?
  2. 2What's in the glass: alcohol, calories, sugar.
  3. 3How much work it takes on a Wednesday.

We make the drink at #1, so read it with that in mind. The other three are good at plenty of things. We say where.

1Best for dinner

Alcohol-removed wine

It starts as real wine. The alcohol comes out, and what's left still smells like wine, swirls like wine and goes where wine went: next to the salmon, the roast chicken, the Friday pizza.

That's the gap NA beer and mocktails can't close for a wine person. They're good drinks. They're just a different drink.

2Best for the cookout

NA beer

The closest cousin. Like ours, it's made as the real thing and kept under the alcohol line, and it's everywhere now. U.S. no-alcohol beer volume grew 15% in 2025 while wine fell 6%.

It's great with a burger in the sun. At a dinner table with a roast, it's a can where your wine glass used to be.

3Best for Saturday

Mocktails

Lovely when you have the time. Muddle, measure, shake, garnish. On a Wednesday after work, most of us want what we used to have: open, pour, sit down.

Check the mixers, too. Tonic water, a common base, carries about 13 g of sugar in 5 oz. Our Red Blend has 1 g.

4Best on the side

Sparkling water

Hard to beat on the numbers: nothing in it but water and bubbles. It's the drink most of us should have more of.

It just isn't trying to be wine. No grapes, no swirl, nothing to pair. Keep it on the table next to the wine glass, not in place of it.

YOURS: product labels, 5 fl oz serving. Tonic water and club soda: USDA FoodData Central #171869 and #174842, scaled to 5 fl oz. NA beer growth: IWSR, U.S. 2025 volume. Non-alcoholic labeling: TTB, less than 0.5% ABV.

The short version

NA beer is a beer person's answer. Mocktails are a Saturday project. Sparkling water belongs on every table.

If wine was your drink, the answer is still wine. Just with the alcohol taken out.

From people who came from beer and mocktails

Was drinking NA beer and mocktails
★★★★★
I was at the point where I was going to give up on non-alcoholic reds and just stick with NA beers and mocktails, but YOURS has changed everything. It's the first red that doesn't taste like juice to me. It's dry, tart, and has a hint of spice.

Mostly a beer drinker
★★★★★
I've been exploring the NA space for over two years now. Mostly drink beers, but I do enjoy the occasional glass of red wine with my meals.…I was skeptical, but Yours red is different. It looks good. It smells good. And it tastes great!

Steak night
★★★★★
Comples flavor, pleasantly dry. Holds up to a steak!…We had this on a weeknight steak dinner, and it was perfection.

Crisp white
★★★★☆
It could have easily passed for an alcoholic SB. Not too sweet, not too mineraly, not too tart…just the right amount of balance and tang to taste like the real deal.

Sandy C. · ✓ Verified Buyer · Sauvignon Blanc

Oaky white
★★★★★
So happy to finally have found an oak, dry Chardonnay.

Questions beer and mocktail drinkers ask

Are any of your wines sparkling?

No. Red Blend, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc are all still wines. If bubbles are what you miss, serve the Sauvignon Blanc cold with a glass of sparkling water alongside.

Is it a mocktail?

No. It's wine, made as wine, with the alcohol removed afterward. Nothing to mix. Open, pour, and re-cork the rest in the fridge for up to 7 days.

How much alcohol is in it?

Less than 0.5% ABV, the same line NA beer is held to in the U.S. Very low, but not zero. Pregnant, nursing, in recovery or on medication? Show your doctor the label first.

Is it sweet?

Per 5 oz glass: Red Blend 1 g sugar, Sauvignon Blanc about 1.5 g, Chardonnay 4 g. Grape juice concentrate is listed on each label.

How fast does it ship?

Orders ship in 2–3 business days, and standard delivery usually takes 3–5 days. Free over $89 to the 48 contiguous states, otherwise standard shipping from $14.99. First order ships free with code FIRSTPOUR, no minimum.
