What great hosts pour, and how

  1. A host hands a glass of red wine to a guest arriving in a winter coat1

A glass in every hand before anyone asks

"What can I get you?" sounds kind. For the guest who isn't drinking tonight, it turns into a small interview at the front door.

Great hosts skip the question. A red, a white and a bottle under 0.5% ABV are open before the first knock, and everyone gets handed something.

  2. A dinner table set for eight with the same stemmed wine glass at every place2

The same glass at every seat

A tumbler of soda next to seven wine glasses gets noticed. Same stemware, same pour, same clink.

Nobody explains their night over the appetizers. Nobody across the table can tell. That's the point.

  3. YOURS California Red Blend on a holiday table next to a roast3

A red that can sit next to the roast

Our California Red Blend is made as wine first, then the alcohol is removed. It pours dark, smells like red wine and goes with beef, lamb or the turkey's dark meat.

Per 5 oz glass: 10 calories, 1 g sugar, none of it added. It took a Silver at the 2022 IWSC.

  4. YOURS Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc on a grazing board with cheese and shrimp4

    Two whites for everything else

The Sauvignon Blanc comes from Washington's Columbia Valley. It's crisp and light: salmon, shrimp, anything with lemon.

The California Chardonnay is the rounder one, with a little oak. Pour it with roast chicken, mashed potatoes or the soft cheese.

  5. Four YOURS bottles lined up on a kitchen counter with glasses before a party5

Enough of it, because running out is the real mistake

One bottle for three guests runs dry before the main course. A 750 mL bottle pours about five 5 oz glasses. Plan on about two per guest over an evening.

Do the math in the planner below.

  6. Two friends finishing a glass of white wine at the kitchen counter after a party6

The last pour, after everyone's gone

Leftovers keep. Cork it, put it in the fridge and finish it within 7 days.

That's Tuesday's dinner, or the next game night, already handled.

Before the party

Will guests who drink regular wine like it?

Some will be surprised. Every wine reads lighter without alcohol, so it won't drink like a 14% Cab. Put it on the table next to your regular bottles and let people pour a taste.

How much alcohol is in it?

Less than 0.5% ABV, the U.S. line for non-alcoholic. Very low, but not zero. A guest who is pregnant, nursing, in recovery or on medication should show their doctor the label first.

What's in the Sampler?

One bottle each of Red Blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The Cabernet is only sold in the Sampler.

When should I order?

Orders ship in 2–3 business days, and standard shipping usually takes 3–5 days. Order a week or more before the party to be safe. Free over $89 to the 48 contiguous states, otherwise $9 flat.
