Same spot at the table
Game night, a birthday, a Tuesday. It pours like red and sits in the glass like red.

Same 5 oz pour. Here's how the reds you've tried stack up, and why so many alcohol-removed ones taste like juice.

01
A regular 5 oz glass of red holds about 14 g of alcohol. It gives the wine weight, warmth and that dry feel on your tongue. Take it out and the same grapes taste thinner.

02
Plenty of producers fill that gap with sugar or grape must after the alcohol comes out. That's the juice-aisle taste: big and soft at the first sip, too much by the third.
It's usually the glass nobody finishes.

03
Skip the front. Find Total Sugars, then check the serving size. Fre Red Blend lists 11 g per 8 oz, about 7 g in a normal glass. Our Red Blend lists 1 g per 5 oz.

04
It starts as California red wine. The alcohol comes out, and no sugar is added. Monk fruit extract rounds it out instead, and grape juice concentrate is on the label in plain sight. It took a 2022 IWSC Silver.

05
Without alcohol, every red reads lighter. Ours drinks like a lighter red with dinner. Melanie B. took one star off for exactly that, and still rated it four.

Pasta, pizza, a cheese board. Pour it where the red used to go.
So many non-alcoholic red wines are watery and sweet like juice. This one definitely isn’t. Will absolutely buy again.

We have tried a number of NA red wines and they all either taste like grape juice or some type of witches brew. Finally, a bottle that is reminescent of actual red wine with an amazing finish. Only gave it four stars as it is a bit light for a red.

It doesn't taste like grape juice, which if you've tried other non alcoholic wines you know that's the problem with most of them. It's not sweet at all…

Reds were especially good...not sweet like other non-alcoholic ones ive tried!
