Editorial Standards
Our Mission
YOURS publishes editorial content because the people exploring non-alcoholic wine deserve more than marketing copy. We write for the pregnant reader trying to make a confident choice at dinner, the sober-curious drinker rebuilding their relationship with wine, the keto follower scanning a back label for grams of sugar, and anyone who simply wants a thoughtful pour without the alcohol. Our promise is straightforward: clear, evidence-based, transparent writing that respects your time and your judgment.
Editorial Process
Every article on the YOURS journal moves through the same documented workflow before it reaches you:
- Topic research. We start with real questions from customers, search trends, and conversations with our community.
- Outline. A writer drafts a structured outline mapped to reader intent and the specific question being answered.
- Draft. The article is written in our house voice: mindful, plain-spoken, evidence-led.
- Editorial review. A second editor reviews structure, tone, accuracy, and reader value.
- Fact-check. Every health-related claim, statistic, and citation is independently verified against the original source.
- Publish. The article goes live with a visible publication date.
- Review and update. Articles touching health, nutrition, or regulation are reviewed on a recurring cycle (at minimum every 12 months) and updated whenever the underlying guidance changes.
No article is published without editorial review. No article stays live forever without a fresh look.
Sourcing and Fact-Checking
We cite authoritative sources and link to them directly so you can verify anything we say. Our preferred sources include:
- Peer-reviewed research published in indexed medical and nutrition journals
- Official public health agencies such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
- Professional medical bodies such as the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG)
- Industry associations and regulatory bodies governing wine, beverage labeling, and food safety
We do not republish unsourced claims, viral health trends, or anecdotes presented as evidence. When research is mixed or evolving, we say so plainly rather than picking a side that flatters a product. Sources are linked inline and listed at the bottom of any article where they apply.
Topics Requiring Special Care (YMYL)
Some of our most-read topics — pregnancy, breastfeeding, ketogenic and low-carb diets, recovery from alcohol, and general health claims — directly affect reader wellbeing. We treat this content with extra caution.
- We do not provide medical advice. We summarize commonly cited information from authoritative sources and explain what is and is not known.
- We direct readers to their healthcare provider for any decision involving their pregnancy, recovery, medication, or medical condition. A blog post is not a substitute for a clinician who knows your history.
- Every health-related article includes a visible disclaimer stating the above and noting the date of last review.
- We avoid causal language ("this will fix that") when the underlying evidence does not support it, and we flag where guidance differs across countries or professional bodies.
Corrections Policy
We get things wrong sometimes. When that happens, we want to know.
If you spot a factual error, an outdated citation, or a claim that no longer reflects current guidance, please email hello@sipyours.com with the article URL and a short description of the issue. We aim to review every correction request within five business days, update the article promptly when warranted, and add a visible "Last reviewed" date so you always know how current the page is. Material corrections are noted at the bottom of the article.
Affiliate and Commerce Disclosure
YOURS is a non-alcoholic wine brand. We publish editorial content alongside selling the products we make. We want to be transparent about that.
When an article mentions a YOURS product, it is because the product is genuinely relevant to the topic — not because the article exists to sell it. Our editorial opinions, sourcing, and conclusions are independent of commercial pressure: an article will not change its recommendation because a product is in stock, on sale, or strategically important that month. We do not accept payment from outside brands in exchange for editorial coverage. If that ever changes, we will disclose it clearly at the top of any sponsored piece.
